Michael O'Brien Bowlin, 48, husband of Martha Hundley Bowlin, died suddenly Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston. The son of E. Conrad and Peggy O'Brien Bowlin of Clarksville, Michael was a graduate of Hoggard High School in Wilmington, NC with the Class of 1979 and attended UNCW. A Class A Building Contractor, Michael was the President of CEI Construction Company and the former President of the Lake Country Home Builders Association. He also coached Girls and Boys Soccer at Bluestone High School; a member of the Southside Virginia Soccer Club; and worked tirelessly for the Mecklenburg County Community Services Corporation Soccer Complex. In addition to his wife, and parents, Michael is survived by his children, Christian Ann Bowlin, Harrison Hundley Bowlin, and Michael O'Brien Bowlin, Jr. His sisters, Cherie Bowlin Madison and Donna Bowlin Garner; and brother, Edgar C. "Eddie" Bowlin, Jr. of Leland, NC also survive. Funeral services will be held 11 o'clock am Saturday at Clarksville Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Kim Steinhorst officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4PM and 7-9PM Friday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
